DPF = Diesel Particulate Filter                                                                                                                                         DPF temperature sensor measures the temperature of the exhaust gas exhausted from the turbocharger and provides the information needed to evaluate the DPF temperature before the exhaust gas passes through the DPF. Use this and other data to estimate particulate accumulation and control DPF temperatures to help reduce harmful emissions and improve fuel efficiency.

In diesel exhaust systems, the DPF system uses two temperature sensors, one at the turbocharger exit bend near HO2S and the other at the DPF inlet to control the temperature of the recirculation.

DPF sensor is installed in the diesel exhaust system to reduce particulate matter (PM) in the exhaust, helping to reduce harmful emissions and improve fuel efficiency.
